My husband's name is JOE (he is from Maine) and we will be married 44 years on the 20th of May.  He went to University of New Hampshire and got a degree in Math.  He worked for the US Navy and was in Fleet Support for the AEGIS SHIPS Missile Software until he retired in Sept. of 2017.
 

    I have 1 child, a girl named MARION who was 39 years old on the 28th of April this year and she lives in Brockton, MA with her husband Joe Holmes & her daughter Arya 9 years & son Kenneth who is 8.

 

    I went to Montco and then Kutztown and finished in Dec. of 1974, with a degree in Elementary Ed and an 18 credit minor in Library Ed.

 

    Jobs I have had since I graduated have been retailing (off an on since 1975, including being Asst Dept Managers at Bloomingdales at Tyson Corner, VA), working in a Retirement Boarding Home in Maine, Elementary Librarian at China Primary School in South China, ME for 10 years.  Presently I am retired.

 

    Most of my married life I have lived in Northern VA or Maine.

 

    Hobbies - Singing in our church choir, Community Theatre Productions (off and on since 1979 in both VA and ME), and I have belonged to a Colonial Society when I lived in Fredericksburg, VA.

Both my children, John (class of 2000) and Rebecca (class of 2001) Parsons, attended Upper Dublin Hight School.  Rebecca graduated from Temple University and just recently got married and is expecting her first child in April. She is site director for Todays child in Aston, PA.   John is in Childcare and is presently a waiter/bartender at 99 restaurant.  I re-married in 2001, and now have two additional children, BJ and Michelle, along with their spouses.. and four grandchildren.

It was so great to see everyone at the Upper Dublin High School Class of 1970 Reunion on Friday night 11/26/2010.

I spent all of Saturday (11/27) & Sunday (11/28) driving the vast regions of Montgomery & Bucks County visiting brothers & sisters.  I am the oldest of 8, and 6 of the 8 all live in the Philadelphia area.  (My sister Lynn & family are in Delray Beach, FL.)  I flew back on Sunday night (11/28).  
 
Life here in Orange Park is wonderful.  We do have our challenges, but with the Good Lord's guidance & the warmth & prayers from fellow graduates, we will march forward.  The present challenge is my wife Connie's diagnosis with breast cancer on September 9th, 2010.  This is "Round TWO" for breast cancer.  "Round ONE" was in 2001.  This cancer challenge is something we will win!!!  Attitude in this cancer battle means so much.
 
I have 2 sons, Tim (age 25) & Justin (age 23).  Tim was attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.  He is now finishing up his degree at the University of West Florida, here in the Sunshine State.  Justin graduated in May of 2009 from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC.  He now works for Dick's Sporting Goods at their Corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.
 
While serving on the UDHS Class of 1970 Committee, I had the chance to call & chat with many of you.  Please feel free to keep the communications going!!!

Even though I won't be at the reunion, I wanted to say hello to all my classmates and wish them well. I also want to report that I now have a 20 month old grandson Zeev, who is the love of my life! I had another big event in my life recently ... my first book was published (Doulas' Guide to Birthing Your Way). After 30 years in the baby business I just had to put it  into words. Live long and prosper, fellow Baby Boomers!
